Common materials include: Polyester , Aramid, Nylon (Polyamide fiber), etc. Below, we introduce the characteristics of safety ropes made from these different materials.
Polyester
Melting point: 260°C. Polyester fiber offers good UV resistance, good corrosion resistance, no difference in strength between dry and wet states, and good abrasion resistance.
Aramid
Can operate normally within a range of -40°C to 360°C, and work long-term in environments up to 180°C. It has high strength, low elongation, permanent heat and flame resistance, and resistance to corrosion from acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. However, it has weak UV and abrasion resistance.
Nylon (Polyamide Fiber)
Melting point: 220°C. Main varieties include Nylon 6 and Nylon 66. It features high strength, good elasticity, excellent impact resistance, good corrosion resistance, and outstanding abrasion resistance.
